Loose Moose Help - main screen MAIN SCREEN

To trace an image, image has to be saved as monochrome bmp format. Use your MS Paint to do it.

To trace an image you have to click 3 first buttons "BMP", "GEO" and "Move to 0,0". After that image become blue. Outside cut is blue and inside cut is light blue. When viewing picture you can use mouse roll button to zoom in or out, and right mouse click then move and release button to pan.

Traced image is too big now and pressing "Clean Vector" you can bring it down without loosing in image quality. Press is 3-4 time until size is 20-30% of original size. If you go to much and picture is loosing in quality press "UNDO" to cancel last clean. Also you can downsize image by removing polylines that are too small by pressin "Clean by Area"

Here is example of cleaning. To view progress you have to check "Points"

To resize picture click "Make Width" an resize it to real size like 12 (inch) or 400 (mm)

To calculate "Leads In" click "Lead In" and then "Optimize Path"  Make sure your "Path" check box is selected, anyway it will be optimized but you will not be able to see it.

Here are some action you can perform before generating GCODE: "Remove Point", "Insert Point", "Move Point", "Move Start Point", "Move Lead In"

and

"Invert Polyline", "Remove Polyline, "Inflate Polyline" and "Select/Deselect Polyline"

After selecting action clickk on Canvas (Drawing)

Here you can set view: "Red Square", "Labels", "Points" and "Path". Red Square is starting point for polyline. Path is traveling path.

By pressing "6A. Font" you can insert text with chosen font. Inserted fonts will become red color, Red for outside cut, light red for inside cut.

To do "UNION" you will need 2 parts (and only 2) one big and blue color (main trace) and one with text and red color. You can position move or scale or rotate blue by using blue arrows, and red by using red arrows. If you need to union more than 2 parts eg 3 parts, first union 1 and 2 and then union 3.

To position parts use arrows with blue, red or yellow (for selected polylines)

You can combine (UNION) main traced picture with text, as explained before, but you can do that with other traced images. For example you trace horse but you want to add horseshoe. Trace horseshoe first, then store it to memory - green buttons in lower right corner. You can "Store" and "Restore" 3 smaller traced image marked as "ONE", "TWO" and "THREE". When you trace all smaller images trace big one (horse) then pull one by one from memory and do "Union"

Loose Moose Help - adding text

After choosing font and entering text you have to do stencil cutting with polygonal or rectangular cutter (weld). Yo have 4 options:

Difference [Cut]   polygonal shape

Union [Weld] polygonal shape

Difference [Cut] rectangular shape

Union [Weld] rectangular shape

In 90% cases you will do cut.

If working with polygonal shape click point by point to draw shape and press enter to close polygon. Do it for all letters like O B, for letter K you do not need to stencil

If working with rectangular shape just click Canvas (drawing to place rectangle) In left lower part of the screen there are 2 numbers that define size of rectangle and you can make it bigger (width and height). Also there is a button "BC" bar or cutter. because welding bar is big and horizontel, and cutter is small and vertica so you can switch depending on what operation you do cutting or welding.

Once you finish stencilling click on "Frame" tab. Here you can insert frame, Rectangular and Circular (Lower or Upper circle)

When inserting circular frame dont worry about size, just try to match shape look. At this time all sizes are in pixels so you will need to resize it on main screen anyway.
