Machine retrofits
CNC retrofits for machines that still have work to do
IKODB retrofits existing CNC equipment with modern controls, drives, wiring, operator screens, and software workflows so useful mechanical iron can return to reliable production.
The work is planned around the machine as a complete system: motion, IO, safety circuits, torch or spindle process control, cabinet layout, setup checks, maintenance access, and the way operators recover from alarms or interruptions.
Retrofit scope
Retrofit projects can be narrow or complete rebuilds. IKODB can replace a failing controller, clean up undocumented wiring, update servos and drives, add probing or sensors, rebuild a control cabinet, or connect the machine to CAD/CAM and production data tools.
Controls
Controller replacement, IO mapping, interlocks, machine limits, homing routines, and operator control screens.
Motion
Servo and stepper upgrades, drive tuning, axis checks, encoder feedback, and motion verification.
Electrical
Cabinet rebuilds, terminal layout, wiring cleanup, panel documentation, service access, and commissioning support.
Workflow
Post processors, job setup, probing routines, maintenance views, alarm recovery, and operator handoff.
Built for production handoff
A retrofit is not finished when the machine moves. IKODB checks how jobs are loaded, how setup is verified, how operators see machine state, and how maintenance can diagnose issues after commissioning. The goal is a machine that can be understood, serviced, and used consistently by the people running it.
